Permission to Publish and Submission Terms
By submitting material to Green Egg Magazine, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
• I affirm that I created the material I am submitting or have the necessary permission and rights to submit it for publication. This includes written material, photographs, artwork, and other images or creative material included with my submission.
• I grant Green Egg Magazine permission to publish accepted material in a current or future issue of Green Egg Magazine and to retain published material as part of Green Egg Magazine’s archives and collections.
• I understand that submission of material does not guarantee publication. Green Egg Magazine receives more material than can be included and may select submissions according to quality, relevance, theme, available space, balance of content, and the needs of individual issues.
• I understand that Green Egg Magazine may hold an accepted submission for a future issue when its subject, theme, length, or available publication space makes a later issue more appropriate.
• I understand that lengthy submissions may, when appropriate, be divided or serialized across multiple issues.
• I understand that Green Egg Magazine may reproduce previously accepted and published material in future Green Egg Magazine issues, archives, compilations, collections, or other Green Egg publications.
• For material that has not previously been published elsewhere, I grant Green Egg Magazine exclusivity for 90 days following its first publication by Green Egg Magazine. During that period, I will not authorize publication of the same material elsewhere. This exclusivity requirement does not apply to material that was already published elsewhere before its publication in Green Egg Magazine.
• I understand that I will not receive monetary compensation for my contribution.
• I understand that contributors whose work is published will receive a complimentary digital copy of the issue containing their work.
• I understand that Green Egg Magazine editors may edit accepted material for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, formatting, length, and the needs of the issue. Editorial changes will be made with the intention of preserving the author’s voice, meaning, and intent.
• I understand that Green Egg Magazine may use brief excerpts, the title of my work, my published byline, and associated promotional material to promote the issue in which my work appears.
