As Above, So Below: Awakening to The Magician’s Realm

By Tatiara

In the stillness of an ancient grove, I beheld a transcendent vision.

Among the lush greenery and flowers, a towering figure arose.

A Man whose height seemed to bridge the distance between earth and heaven.

His noble form draped in a purple mantle that rippled in the breeze.

At the center of that sacred glade, the Man stood, an embodiment of hidden wisdom.

Upon his brow rested the band of the Initiate, and his eyes seemed to hold the Infinite.

Before him, on a cube-shaped altar, were the Wand, the Cup, the Sword, and the Pentacle.

Four emblems of infinite power, each emitted a mystical energy.

His right hand pointed to the sky, and his left reached toward the earth,

An eternal gesture of balance and union.

Beneath his mantle a white tunic gleamed,

Bound at the waist by a serpent consuming its own tail…

Ouroboros – a symbol of continuous renewal.

His face shone with a tranquil light as his eyes met mine.

A current of understanding passed between us.

A resounding voice echoed through the grove: “Behold… the great Magician!”

The sound seemed to rise from within him, or, perhaps, from within myself.

With a single motion, the Magician united the forces of above and below.

The emblems on the altar glowed with meaning.

The fire of will, the water of love, the air of thought, and the earth of form.

Each spoke of an ancient harmony, a divine pattern,

Permeating and sustaining all things.

I shivered as I stood before this mystery.

The words that filled the grove seemed to emerge from creation itself.

For a moment, I felt suspended between worlds.

Within me, a doorway opened.

Visions and sounds flowed through and beyond me…

The living music of existence itself.

The Magician stands at the threshold between the unseen and the seen, the sacred bridge between potential and manifestation. In tarot, The Magician card is the first step of conscious creation, the moment we realize we can influence our reality through intention, focus, and alignment. The Magician is ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication, thought, and divine intelligence. He represents the power of directing energy with precision and purpose.

On the table before him are four tools of magic – symbols of the four elements, and of the human faculties of will, emotion, intellect, and action. The Magician teaches us that when these forces are harmonized, they are more than the sum of their parts and spirit flows effortlessly through matter.

To tune into the Magician’s energy, begin by creating sacred space. Light a candle to symbolize the spark of consciousness. Standing tall, take a few breaths and center yourself. Visualize energy descending through your crown and anchoring deep into the earth. Then, with a quiet but focused mind, speak your intention aloud, with emotion. Not as a plea, but as a command of faith. Feel your words carry weight, your voice bridging worlds. Take your time.

Meditate on the infinity symbol depicted above the Magician’s head. It represents the endless flow of divine energy that passes through us when we act as conscious co-creators. Journaling after this meditation can reveal inspired ideas and synchronicities already forming in your life.

When the Magician appears in a reading, it often signifies that the tools, timing, and inner resources you need are already at hand. It is the card of awakening to your own power, of realizing you already are the conduit between heaven and earth. It calls you to step forward, to claim agency over your magic, not by forcing outcomes, but by aligning will and wisdom.

In moments of doubt, recall the image of the Magician in the grove: one hand raised to the heavens, one extended downward to the land. You are that bridge. You are the voice through which creation speaks. The magic is yours.

Past life memories and psychic abilities showed up early and claiming those abilities in the face of oppressive religious family doctrines has been a gift in disguise, informing her purpose to help others free themselves from outmoded conditioning, release trauma, and make space for soul truth and hidden gifts to shine forth. Embodying her spiritual path, owning the mystic within and living from that truth is her continuing challenge and mission.
