By Lady Saoirse,
Bright Blessings,
From new witches to seasoned practitioners, many of us want to know one thing- how can we use magic to get what I want in life? It’s simple.
You have to learn to wait for it.
What? We often think slinging a spell should give instant results! I mean, we paid $12.99 for that candle and $8.99 for that oil. All we should have to do is burn the candle and anoint ourselves with the oil we paid good money for and our result should be ours immediately, right?
Wrong.
Sometimes, results come fast, and they sometimes come the first time we ask for them. Other times, we have to wait.
Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of spellwork? Isn’t spellwork designed to replace doing the footwork? Aren’t we supposed to send out a spell for a job and immediately have the perfect job fall out of the sky? If we are single and do an attraction spell, aren’t we supposed to be married sixty days later to the love of our life who has searched for us in the past fourteen incarnations?
Maybe in the movies, but in real life, things take time.
Think of getting what you want like baking a cake. You have to gather all the ingredients, mix them together in the proper sequence, and then bake the cake the proper amount of time. But first, you have to prepare the cake pan, and pre heat the oven. If any of these steps are wrong, the cake won’t turn out right.
Say your goal is to get married and have kids. You can run out and marry the first person who will marry you- and start dropping babies left and right- ok married with kids! However, marrying the RIGHT person is more challenging and takes longer. If you rush into marriage and parenthood without establishing a good marriage foundation, you are probably going to end up divorced or at least living a miserable homelife and your kids will suffer for it.
Good results take as long as they are supposed to take. Worded another way, if you want something, you have to wait for it to happen on its own time. So, the best way to use magic to get what you want is to have the most magical mindset there is- the mindset of patience.
To do this, follow four easy steps- set a goal, find out what it takes, then do those things, and last of all- WAIT!
Set Goals
What’s the goal? To graduate college with a BA will take four years- or more. If your goal is to lose 80 pounds because you watched a thirty-minute show where somebody’s 80-pound weight loss was showcased from start to finish in one episode- you might wonder if you can lose all that weight instantly. You can’t. Be aware that when you are setting goals, you need to be specific. So instead of saying you just want to lose 80 pounds, say “I want to change my diet and lifestyle so I lose this excess weight and keep it off permanently.” A good, specific goal.
Find Out What It Takes
Next, you need to find out what things you are going to have to do in order to meet your goal. Will you go to college full-time or part time? Will you live on campus or not? Will you work, or not? Will you need student loans to pay for school? What classes are you applying for? Then you need to take and pass the classes. It’s a process. Losing weight is too. You have to eat different foods, but which ones, and which foods will you need to stop eating? What will your exercise patterns be? Find out everything you need to do to meet your goal!
Do The Work
Now that you know what work needs done, it is time to do it! This isn’t necessarily the fun part, but it’s the work that moves the energy and that’s what makes the magic happen! Do the work in the best way you can, and do it thoroughly. You will be proud of yourself. You may have to go “ back to the drawing board” at least once, and rework the process, but I promise it is worth it!
Wait Patiently
Next is the truly difficult part. You have to wait for results. I wish we could get results in exactly the way we want them the moment we want them, but sometimes it takes a long time for things to happen. It can take days, weeks, months, or even years! Anything worth doing well is worth waiting for, though. Just be patient. Your magic will work. It just takes time.
Getting what you want can happen, and the main way to use magic to make things happen is through elbow grease. You can cast spells and use affirmations, but work will be the magic that makes things happen. So set your goals, find out what it takes to meet them, roll up your sleeves to do the work, and be patient. Magic will happen, and it will take as long as it is meant to.
Blessed Be!
