THE ACE OF PENTACLES
Aces correspond to the number one and as such, always denote a new beginning of some kind. Since Pentacles address money and stability, we can presume that some new or increased wealth is coming our way. There may be a financial breakthrough of some kind or introduction of an influence that will eventually lead to a change in funding or career status. This could also be a legal judgment in your favor, especially if this card falls near Justice in a full reading.
A Deeper Look:
Lilies line the fields shown in the card’s imagery and lilies may represent funerals or positive influences from the past. In this case, the lilies grow not in a pot as we may be used to seeing them, but growing in a field, either wild or carefully cultivated. Lilies are not easy to grow and can indicate that the financial rewards you seek come from an investment made in the past or from long-tended efforts. The funerial aspect of the lilies could also indicate an inheritance that comes through or a severance from a job or other circumstance ending, such as a legal settlement at the end of a court process.
Behind the lily field we see an arched exit to the garden with a pathway leading through the archway. Beyond that are mountains, much like the mountains the figure in the 8 of Cups goes into for his quest of faith.
Most prominently, a hand emerges from the sky, harkening the idea of the hand of the Divine, seeming to come from the clouds to hand us the golden coin. From this, we deduce that there is a Divine component to the increase in wealth, showing a combination of self-made prosperity and a boost from Divine energies.
What to Focus On This Week:
If you have had financial concerns, try not to worry. A financial boon is coming your way, either from your own hard work in the past (such as a much-deserved raise) or from God/Goddess or both. This card represents a boost in security and wealth.
