Stone Magic: Chrysocolla

By Katrina Rasbold

Chrysocolla is found in copper mines and varies from light green to deep blue and forms from the oxidized copper deposits around it. It was once called “green turquoise” rather than considered as its own stone as it is now.

Chrysocolla releases blocked up emotions and stimulates the mind while relaxing the emotions, which balances the two as the release occurs. It soothes emotional confusion and helps the user to translate their ideas into manifested reality. This makes it a great stone to keep in your work area to encourage enthusiastic engagement with your tasks.

Held in the hand, it releases unfounded fears and misperceptions. It encourages personal discretion and stimulates mental accuity. Chrysocolla is excellent to use in trauma recovery because it clarifies reality and promotes healing.

This stone connects strongly to the heart and throat chakras, helping the user to effectively express their feelings and speak their inner truths.
