Happy Midsummer!! Litha is a time to revel in the fullness of life, honor the natural world, and prepare for the season of harvest. Embrace the magic of the Summer Solstice and let its vibrant energy illuminate your heart and spirit.
Here’s a seasonal song I wrote in the 90s:
As the Phoenix rises from the ashes,
So let my soul be pure and new.
Mother Goddess, bless this water
So that it may bless and renew.
Father God, may your rays of MidSummer
Sun bless and nourish me.
Two that are One, may your blessings sustain me,
As I journey, anew
As year wheel continues to turn,
We arrive at the Summer Solstice,
A time of magic, the full bloom of the sun
This sacred day marks the longest day
Bathing the earth in golden light.
And the shortest night.
This time of year is known as a time of light, but it is also a time of rest, (especially in this heat wave for many of us!) It is a time to reflect on where we have been and feel into our next wave with intention. It’s OK to rest!! Some productivity must occur on the inner planes.
During this enchanted season, we honor the Sun God at the height of his splendor, the Earth Goddess in her abundant fertility, and the ethereal spirits of nature that dance in the twilight. The air hums with the energy of growth, passion, and boundless possibilities, inviting us to revel in the beauty of nature in full bloom.
Midsummer Manifestation Ritual:
As twilight descends, light a single candle, its flame a beacon to the unseen realms. Fill a vase with your favorite blossoms. Inhale their fragrance . Reflect on love as a force in the Universe. Reflecting on your deepest desires, create a list of wishes, dreams, intentions, and with a voice full of intention, speak these words:
“I gather in the power of the sun at its zenith. I attune to this day of greatest light. I call in the guardians of fire, earth, air, and water to bring the grace of the power in the light to manifest my desires in the coming harvest. I ask that this be.”
Unfurl your list of dreams and read them aloud:
“I affirm that I am able and willing to allow these wishes to manifest and I participate in the miracle of creation with faith and optimism. So mote it be.”
Let the candle’s flame dance as you celebrate gratefully with music, a glass raised in gratitude, and a heart brimming with joy.
