Magickal Food: Harvest Moon Cookies Prosperity Spell

 By Tatiara

Don’t worry! Autumn is on the way! These amazing cookies bring to mind those cozy, autumn vibes, curled up by the fire, reading a good book, misty moonlight and crisp air. And you haven’t even tasted them yet! Soft, spicy, packed with ginger (I call them ginger “bends”) and lovely spices, it’s the blackstrap molasses that really makes their texture so wonderful, and they taste almost chocolate-y. They are so much more than “pumpkin spice,” but they are that, too.
The ingredients are perfect for stirring in some abundance. They’re vegan and easily made gluten-free, as well, so abundance in health can be included. The (ground) ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and allspice, as well as the dash of pink Himalayan salt or regular sea-salt can be added together first to be charged with your personal energy. The key here is really charging your ingredients with your intentions to increase prosperity. This type of spell works best if you focus on the feelings created when you have what you need, rather than specific things or amounts of money. Regarding money, I would recommend tuning in to “the essence of financial security.”

Beyond money, abundance in love, health, fulfillment, meaning and substance to enrich one’s life are also included in feeling prosperous. Creating a simple affirmation to repeat periodically after the spell can be beneficial. Something simple such as, “I always have everything I need,” works perfectly well, but always feel free to use your own words.

Tapping in to the energy of harvest time, you can imagine the flour and other ingredients glowing or sparkling with abundance! Using your imagination, charge up all the ingredients and bless them toward your endeavor. When you are rolling the batter into balls with your hands, send that energy out through your hands and into the dough. Do everything with intention.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ cups of whole wheat flour (oat flour works, too for GF)
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • pinch of Himalayan pink salt or sea-salt
  • 1 tsp. each of ginger and cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. each of nutmeg, allspice, clove
  • pinch of cardamom (optional)
  • 3/4 cup of maple syrup
  • ½ cup of sunflower oil
  • 1/4 cup of blackstrap molasses
  • 1/4 cup of crystallized ginger
  • a small handful of peeled, fresh ginger, or 4 cubes of frozen ginger

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. I use a non-stick cookie sheet and I grease it with salted butter, because I love the taste. Feel free to substitute cooking spray, or whatever you normally use to grease the pan.

After you have charged all the ingredients with harvest moon prosperity energy, place into a small food processor: the maple syrup, sunflower oil, blackstrap molasses, crystallized ginger and peeled fresh (or frozen) ginger. Blend it together until no chunks remain.

In a large bowl, place the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices. Stir the dry ingredients together to remove any lumps. Stir in your magickal intention here, as well. Add the wet ingredients, stirring them only until combined.

I like to make bigger cookies, so I roll them into balls that fit into my palm, but you can make them smaller, if you like. This recipe usually makes two uneven batches, depending on the size of your cookie sheet, and it will yield around nine bigger cookies. Make sure your oven is fully pre-heated. These cookies need to bake for exactly 8 minutes at 350.

Don’t forget to visualize your abundant outcomes as you eat your Harvest Moon Prosperity Cookies. They are great with a cold glass of plain unsweetened almond milk, or whichever milk you like. Pairing them with a good tea, coffee or chai is also recommended.

Wishing you an abundant harvest of love, health, happiness and wealth!
